Key Stage 2
Key Stage 2 refers to years 3, 4, 5 & 6 of Primary School (i.e. children aged between 7 and 11 years old).
Under the National Curriculum 10 compulsory subjects are taught:
- English
- Maths
- Science
- Design and technology
- Information and Communication Technology (ICT)
- History
- Geography
- Art and design
- Music
- Physical education
At the end of Key Stage 2 all children take National Tests (known as KS2 SAT's) in:
- English reading
- English grammar, punctuation and spelling
- Maths
